Fera – Episode 3: A Courtyard Remembered
📚 Fera – Episode 3: A Courtyard Remembered

📖 : "We return, not to places, but to selves we left behind."
The iron gate creaked open.
Dust spiraled in sunlight.
The courtyard stood still, yet breathing — like it had waited for me through seasons of silence.
There was no one to greet me.
But the bougainvillea had not forgotten.
I stood on the same red cement floor that once echoed my running feet.
The veranda whispered stories—some mine, some perhaps borrowed from rain.
The smell of damp earth, of dried leaves and old saris… it wrapped around me like my grandmother’s touch.
I didn’t come looking for anything.
But I found... a version of me I had forgotten.
🔸Sometimes we travel far, only to find the roots we carry inside us.
This courtyard was never just brick and soil. It was memory. It was proof that I had once been loved without conditions.
Maybe that’s why it called me back.
