Fera – Episode 5: “The Window That Says Nothing”
📖 Fera – Episode 5

🪟 “The Window That Says Nothing”
> 🔍: Sometimes, home feels more distant when you're finally back.
1
When I stepped into the house, the first thing I noticed was the silence.
The TV was on, the kitchen smelled of steamed rice, and my mother glanced at me only once.
Everything was there, and yet, something was missing.
2
This was the same window where my father used to call out —
“Come in, it's already dark!”
Today, it’s wide open.
The breeze flows in, the evening light seeps through…
But no voice follows.
3
I’m back — that’s what it looks like from the outside.
Inside, the walls have grown old,
not just in time but in silence.
4
The wooden chair no longer creaks,
the small bed still stands,
but I no longer fit into it — not in size, but in memory.
5
I rested my hand on the windowsill.
It knows — I’m a visitor in the place I once called home.
People still smile, but their words seem… careful.
Too measured.
As if time has built a glass wall between me and everything I once knew.
6
Mother finally said,
“Eat while it’s warm.”
I wanted to say —
“Ma, I’m going cold too.”
But I didn’t.
🌿 :The window is still open. Only the voices have left.
